His choice seemed clear. Of course, looks can be deceiving, and after defeating Kymri’s men, Kurt received a vicious knock to the head…from none other than Anjulie herself…
When he awoke, Anjulie told him how grateful she was…and set about to thank him in a time honoured tradition…and Kurt, gentleman as he is, felt it inappropriate to refuse her…and though a one-night stand is extremely out of character for Kurt…Anjulie was a mistress of the trade…
It didn’t take long for Anjulie to show her true colours though…when a servant spilt a drop of wine on her hand…Kurt attempted to cool the situation is his own way…
Setting out to learn the truth he found Kymri locked in the dungeon, destined to be a sacrifice in one of Anjulie’s dark ceremonies. She told him the truth about the world, that she was its true princess, that Anjulie had charmed and seduced her father in order to claim the throne…and Kymri and her followers had attacked her to take back what was rightfully hers…
Kurt, of course had to make amends, and quickly set about it…with the aid of Kymri…
But before Kymri could finish her off, she learnt the awful truth about what happened to her father…
In the end, it was Shadowcat that ended Anjulie’s reign of terror…Kymri went on to become one of her world’s answer to Captain Britain…and Kurt did what he needed to forget all about it…
